IFM Pest Control Support
- Ensures the pest control provider is qualified from a vendor qualification perspective, assigned training for the pest control provider (technicians and management) are current and up to date within the Pfizer and JLL training systems, personnel qualification requirements (job descriptions, signature logs, CVs, etc.) are documented and current based on Pfizer and JLL SOPs
- Oversees pest observations reported by colleagues and contingent workers on site. Provides associated documentation and captured pest(s) to the licensed pest control technician for identification.
- Direct oversight for all pest control service and inspections on site.
- Creates work order to document inspection/service in Pfizer systems.
- Facilitates pre meetings to discuss any pests captured, updates from last service/inspection and review any special circumstances prior to service/inspection.
- Accompanies the licensed pest control technician to ensure service and/or inspection of interior and exterior pest control devices is performed as identified in the site pest control SOP for all required services and inspections.
- Maintains site pest control binder which includes the following but not limited to: SDS for each pest control chemical, Pest control provider licenses, certifications, training records (as applicable).
- Create Work Orders in EAMS to correct any noted or identified conditions during service and inspection. Prioritize work orders in Pfizer systems and track through completion.
- Ensure completion of all Pest Control Service Report(s) prior to leaving the site. Review and sign the printed Pest Control Service Report within three business days of the documented service / inspection.
- Complete and maintain training for the Responsible Person and Approver roles in eQMS system. Collaborate with Pfizer Rocky Mount quality team to create, track, maintain Pest Control Investigation Records and CAPAs in Pfizer’s QMS Quality System. Ensure timely creation and closure of all Pest Control related Investigation records.
- Supports any audit (internal and external) requests related to the pest control program on site.
- Work with Pest Control Service Provider to assess the facility before shutdown activities start.
- Performs quarterly and annual evaluation of pest control program and submit summary report, including recommendations, for review and approval to Pfizer Qualified Site Pest Control Coordinator and Quality.
- Coordinates and schedules annual site assessment of all buildings (interior and exterior) with Pfizer Qualified Site Pest Control Coordinator, Pest Control Service Provider/ Licensed Technician and Certified Entomologist. Create work orders in EAMs to correct any noted deficiencies or gaps. Collaborate with the Pfizer Qualified Site Pest Control Coordinator on any recommendations resulting from the annual assessment.
- Create an annual summary report based on outcome of annual assessment.
- Ensure all pest control related Preventative and Corrective Maintenance work orders in executed and completed on time.
- Collaborates with Pfizer Qualified Site Pest Control Coordinator to initiate change controls for the pest control program as required per Pfizer SOPs.
- Submits Drafting and Drawing request per Pfizer SOPs for adding or removing a permanent pest control device.
- Ensure all completed and signed pest control service reports are uploaded in Pfizer’s validated electronic document repository.
- Support the risk assessment process for pest control devices as required by Pfizer Pest Control SOP.
- Support continuous improvement opportunities and inspection readiness activities related to oversight of the self-inspection program for the pest control services delivered on site.
- Execute monthly inspections which includes but is not limited to documentation/report review, training compliance, walkthrough audit of the facilities interior and exterior, (devices, bait stations, entrance way doors, grounds/landscaping, etc.), adherence to SOP requirements, etc.
- Document findings from inspection, submit corrective work orders, share outcome of inspections with Pfizer Qualified Site Pest Control Coordinator.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education/Training
- Associates Degree or equivalent minimum
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of applicable working experience in a pharmaceutical industry preferable related with Pest Control service
- Experience working in or supporting GxP environments
- Familiarity with quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and supporting quality-related activities is essential for this role.
