Position Description:
Responsible for adhering to and maintaining the highest standards of customer service, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction. The position requires a high level of organization, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic. Potential candidates must be able to employ critical thinking, independent decision making, and possess strong analytical skills.
Job duties include:
- Receive and process contractor, licensee, and employee clearance or access requests.
- Pre-screen all security forms to ensure accuracy.
- Conducting on-line credit checks, Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint (FBIF) checks, Personnel Investigations Processing System/Central Verification System (PIPS/CVS) checks, Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) checks, Central Personnel Clearance Index (CPCI) checks, and additional checks as required.
- Processing contractors and licensees for access to Safeguards Information (SGI) through PSATS.
- Create and maintain electronic security files for contractor, licensee, and employee applicants in the Personnel Security Adjudicative Tracking System (PSATS).
- Provide phone support to callers on the Personnel Security Branch (PSB) General Questions line.
- Receive, open and distribute incoming mail on a daily basis.
- Perform badge enrollments utilizing current MyID software in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).
- Operate Live Scan electronic fingerprint system to capture fingerprints and complete fingerprint cards for employee and contractors.
- Provide escorting services to all visitors to PSB space.
- Processing incoming and outgoing visit requests.
- Processing Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access requests through PSATS & OPM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong administrative and communication skills.
- The ability to deal tactfully, confidentially, and professionally with all levels of staff.
- Must be detail oriented, able to produce highly accurate work.
- The ability to obtain an NRC security clearance "Q", NRC equivalent to "Top Secret".
- Must pass pre-screening drug test.
Preferred:
- Active Secret or Top Secret facility clearance.
