So, what will the Personnel Recovery (PR) Training Specialist with Medical Expertise at Terrestris do?
The Personnel Recovery (PR) Training Specialist with Medical Expertise is the subject matter expert (SME) relating to all Medical functions of PR training. The Training Specialist with Medical Expertise is responsible for assisting in the development of training objectives, COI documents, training aids, and lesson plans that align with USAID SEC/ISP/STB PR requirements.
What does a typical day look like for a Personnel Recovery (PR) Training Specialist with MEDICAL Expertise?
A Personnel Recovery (PR) Training Specialist with Medical Expertise's day is dynamic. The role involves conducting training during mobile training team events in both CONUS and OCONUS environments to support USAID Mission-specific Personnel Recovery (PR) Programs and other security training needs. Responsibilities include delivering Personnel Recovery Employee Education, Management, Prevention, and Training (PREEMPT) and PR Officer (PRO) training in accordance with established Course of Instruction (COI) documents, as well as other security training programs as directed by the PR Program Coordinator and Senior Training Specialist.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the person we're looking for if you have:
- Minimum five years of experience in delivering emergency or tactical medical training in the military or a first responder role, and three years of specialized experience in developing and providing tactical medical training to civilian employees
- Must have extensive experience in providing and training emergency, tactical, or field operations medical care. This may include military or first responder experience such as tactical medic, corpsman, EMT, paramedic, or similar experience that is in the field and not solely as assigned to a clinic or hospital.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and sensitivity to various issues.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Base knowledge in safety and security principles.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
- Must have and maintain a valid U.S Passport.
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to physically stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and the ability to climb ladders with dexterity in both hands.
- Must be able to lift a 50-pound item to waist height and must be able to lift a 30-pound item over the head.
- Must have 20/20 vision with corrective lenses if necessary.
- Must have acceptable color vision and have acceptable depth perception.
- Must be physically able to travel to and operate in potentially dangerous, overseas environments.
- Must be physically able to walk distances up to three miles in a variety of adverse environments while carrying a 30-pound backpack.
- Must have the ability to hear normal conversation, alarm, and warning signals with corrective devices if necessary.
