Student Housing is a self-funded, large and complex campus department consisting of 6 housing communities and 3 support units, with more than 280 staff employees, 300-400 student employees and an annual operating budget of $120 million. Student Housing provides housing
for approximately 9,000 undergraduates, graduate students and their families in over 250 buildings and approximately 3.3 million sq. ft.
Currently, Student Housing houses 45% of UCI's enrolled students (in conjunction with American Campus Communities, UCI's 3rd party housing partner) with a goal of housing 60% as part of the campus Long Range Development Plan (LRDP). Student Housing also provides maintenance and repair services to student residents.
Under general supervision of the Assistant Director of HR & Payroll, the Personnel & Finance Coordinator will provide administrative support in matters related to Payroll and Personnel management and Finance Accounts Receivables for Student Housing. This position will serve as the payroll processor with comprehensive bi-weekly (BW) and monthly (MO) payroll and time-reporting in the Time Reporting System (TRS) and UCPath and will assist with onboarding new hires and provide administrative coordination for personnel and payroll-related functions. The incumbent provides assistance in the areas of financial administration on a variety of projects and tasks including review of accounts receivable
paperwork and performs general clerical duties including filing, copying, scanning and create and modify spreadsheets.
- Demonstrated skill to work with variety of computer software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) database management, and electronic mail. Required
- Requires good verbal and written communication skills, active listening, critical thinking, multi-task and time management skills. Required
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to effectively work and communicate with a diverse group of individuals. Required
- Strong attention to detail. Required
- Ability to research, analyze, and present information in a clear, concise and professional manner. Required
- Skills to perform mathematical calculations for payroll purposes. Required
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize assignments and perform a variety of duties with constant interruptions in order to meet competing deadlines and contending requests for service. Required
- Ability to handle projects independently in a confidential manner with tact and sensitivity to campus policies. Required
- Demonstrated ability to communicate courteously, effectively, diplomatically, and professionally. Required
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality of records and information. Required
- Experience in providing administrative support with a strong commitment to customer service and teamwork. Required
- Ability to take initiative, function independently, set priorities, and manage time to complete work in a timely manner. Required
- Experience with UC Systems: UCPath and TRS. Preferred
- A working knowledge of University personnel/payroll policies and procedures related to compensation, leaves of absence, employee relations, and employee benefits. Preferred

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $27.34- $32.09 (Hourly).
Required:
- One to three years of experience in office administration with a BA/BS; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
