Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Essential Duties:
Picking Process: The quality of the products selected for customers is paramount and should be exceptional, particularly Fresh Meats, Produce and Deli Bakery. No close dated or out of date product should ever be selected for a customer. When making substitutions (unless customer marks “no subs”), Personal Shoppers use their best judgment and choose the closest item to what was ordered. A call or text to the customer when in doubt is worth the time.
Phone Etiquette: Personal Shoppers must be good communicators. It is an important part of what is expected each day. I am to keep the phone charged and on at ALL times, making sure the volume level is HIGH to hear a ring or text, Phone should be answered within 3 rings and NEVER unanswered. Speaking in a friendly, polite and professional manner is expected.
Delivering Orders Curbside: Personal Shoppers and all front end Associates and Management Team are trained to pull a customer’s order when they arrive for pick up. From the time the call or text comes in from the customer notifying the store they have arrived curbside, it should take a maximum of 3-5 minutes to get out to the customer’s vehicle. It is equally important that I get to the customer quickly AND have all of their bags. It is against Company policy to accept tips.
