Overview: As a Personal Lines Account Executive, you will drive business growth by marketing new business, negotiating coverage and premiums, and preparing proposals for our clients.
This is a full-time hybrid position, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays spent working in our office in Garden City, New York.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Market new business, negotiate coverage and premiums, prepare professional proposals, and maintain underwriting and marketing information
- Develop and implement marketing programs to achieve production goals and contribute to department growth
- Expand existing accounts with additional lines of business, upgrade coverages, and advise clients on coverage gaps
- Promote collaboration between departments to cross-sell products
- Review new policies for accuracy and delegate processing to Associate Account Executives
- Handle client correspondence regarding insurance, claims, or administrative issues, referring to the producer when necessary
- Review mail items and assign processing tasks to the Associate Account Executive
- Maintain a system to follow up on outstanding orders and overdue items
- Follow agency E&O guidelines and maintain organized electronic files
- Perform special marketing and collaboration projects as requested by management
- Assist clients in reporting and settling claims and attend client visits to provide high-level customer service
- Continue your professional development in account rounding, cross-selling, and time management
Requirements:
- NYS (New York State) Insurance Broker’s License
- 5+ years of relevant insurance experience in Personal Lines
- Thorough understanding of Personal Lines underwriting and coverages, applicable to various account sizes
- Independent thinker with a professional, positive, supportive attitude
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- College degree or some level of college education preferred
- Strong team management, training, and project management skills
- Proficiency in a paperless office environment, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and EPIC
- Ability to facilitate and promote teamwork and team spirit
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 depending on experience
A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
