Job Details
Day to Day:
1. Represent clients who have suffered personal injuries in legal proceedings, advocating for their rights and best interests.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to support cases, using a variety of sources to gather and analyze information.
3. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
4. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients, striving to achieve the best possible outcome.
5. Manage all aspects of personal injury litigation, from initial client consultation to final resolution.
6. Handle a high volume of personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
7. Stay abreast of current laws and regulations related to personal injury law, ensuring compliance in all legal proceedings.
8. Collaborate with other legal professionals, including paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys, to effectively manage cases and deliver superior client service.
9. Participate in continuing legal education to enhance knowledge and skills in personal injury law.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on motor vehicle accidents and premises liability.
4. Strong knowledge of Personal Injury Protection (PIP) laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in litigation, with a strong track record of successful case outcomes.
6. Exceptional legal writing and research skills, with the ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
7. Excellent negotiation skills, with a demonstrated ability to achieve favorable settlements for clients.
8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and other legal professionals.
9. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
10. Ability to handle a high volume of cases, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
11. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning in personal injury law.
