Job Details
Day to Day:
Screen potential litigation clients by evaluating their case.
Gather, research, and review case records.
Communicate with insurance companies and clients.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and responses.
Prepare and attend depositions, court appearances and mediations.
Negotiate settlements.
Medical case review and summaries.
Assist with handling of catastrophic cases.
Prepare for and advocate in trial.
Advise clients as to their legal rights and as to the best course of action in their circumstances.
Investigate coverage issues and insurance policy research.
Assist clients in understanding important medical decisions.
Requirements:
JD from an ABA accredited law school.
Current Member of the Florida Bar.
Strong verbal and written communication and people skills.
Professionalism and prioritization of client customer service and representation.
Experience and knowledge on how to evaluate value of claims.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Research and writing expertise.
Ability to work independently and in an organized manner.
Speaks Spanish.
