We are searching for a highly motivated associate attorney with expertise in personal injury or plaintiff civil litigation. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, handling cases from inception to trial, and engaging directly with clients. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work independently, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and excel in both legal strategy and client communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage personal injury cases throughout the litigation lifecycle, from initial filing to trial.
- Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Oversee discovery processes, including propounding and responding to interrogatories, document requests, and depositions.
- Take lead in conducting depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts.
- Attend and represent the firm at court hearings, motions, and other legal proceedings.
- Assist in developing trial strategies, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and legal arguments.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar.
- 3-7 years of hands-on experience in personal injury or plaintiff civil litigation.
- Proven track record of managing complex litigation matters from start to finish.
- Strong legal research and technical writing skills, with proficiency in using legal research tools.
- Experience in both state and federal court proceedings.
- Exceptional oral and written communication, negotiation, and client interaction skills.
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
