Job Details
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Provides legal counsel to and representation of clients in litigated matters.
- Performs legal and factual research and investigation to formulate a legal opinion, identify risks and propose alternative courses of action.
- Performs routine legal work using established procedures, including preparing pleadings, attending hearings, depositions, mediations, defense exams, and any other court related matters.
- Offers direction and communication to client on behalf of law firm throughout the litigation process.
- Communicates views effectively orally and in writing and represents position to others.
- Provides assistance to other attorneys on major projects and assignments
- Works with managerial guidance and oversight.
Requirements:
- Must have completed at least 1 year previous litigation experience as an attorney, criminal or civil, plaintiff or defense, and be admitted to the Florida Bar.
- Strong multitasking skills, highly organized, and detail oriented
- Able to excel in a fast-paced work environment, take direction and work with little supervision
- Able to manage a large caseload and comply with deadlines
- Familiar in Microsoft Word, Outlook and the ability to become proficient in firm technology programs
