We are urgently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Attorney (Pre-suit & Litigation) for our Garland, TX office. Bilingual (English and Spanish) not required but a plus. Litigation experiences a plus. Base salary, commensurate based on experience. This is an immediate hire and urgent fill.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Personal Injury Attorney, Garland, TX
We are looking for an ambitious and passionate Personal Injury Attorney to join our Dallas team. Candidates must possess a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience practicing pre-suit and litigation plaintiff personal injury in Texas. Candidates should have some litigation experience. You will work alongside a dynamic and experienced team of Attorneys and have local and remote support staff. A typical day involves client communication, negotiating settlements, overseeing support staff and files, taking depositions, research and drafting, leading mediations, developing case strategies, drafting demands, and taking cases to trial.
Compensation:
Base salary commensurate based on experience. Attorneys with a portable case load already in place will receive preferential consideration. Bar Dues and CLEs provided by the law firm, and a commission on any case brought into our firm for any area of law that we handle.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with our clients to understand the extent of their injuries, negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel, and represent our clients in court. Manage a caseload of personal injury cases, including auto accidents, slip and falls, premises liability claims, and wrongful death cases. Drafting and responding to discovery, drafting motions and motion responses, legal research, and legal writing. Work with experts from various medical and other disciplines assist with report drafting, deposition preparation, etc.
Qualifications:
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar. 1-2+ years of experience pre-suit and litigating personal injury. Experience drafting and responding to motions. Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence. Exceptional attention to detail, strong writing, and legal research skills. Great attorney work ethic.
