Our law firm is seeking an innovative, self-motivated, and experienced Permanent Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for justice, a strong moral compass, and a commitment to upholding the law. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of cases, with a strong focus on personal injury, wrongful death, car accident, and bicycle accident litigation. This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires a keen eye for detail, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute lawsuits.
2. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
3. Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to prepare and present legal arguments.
4. Draft, review and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
5. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
6. Manage and oversee paralegals and legal assistants.
7. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
8. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
9. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
10. Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an associate attorney, preferably in personal injury, wrongful death, car accident, and bicycle accident litigation.
3. Admission to the state bar.
4. Proven experience conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and arguing cases in court.
5. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
7. High level of integrity and professional accountability.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.
