Responsibilities:
1. Represent clients who have sustained personal injuries as a result of negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct of others.
2. Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and litigation strategy.
3. Provide expert legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand their rights, the legal process, and the potential outcomes of their case.
4. Ensure legal compliance in all actions, maintaining the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
5. Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex legal issues and formulate effective strategies.
6. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
7. Handle pre-litigation processes, including demand letters and initial pleadings.
8. Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance companies to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
9. Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts to gather evidence and build a strong case.
10. Manage caseload effectively, ensuring all cases are progressing in a timely manner and clients are kept informed of developments.
11. Represent clients in court, utilizing trial experience to present compelling arguments and secure favorable judgments.
12. Participate in mediation and alternative dispute resolution processes where appropriate.
13. Pay meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work, from reviewing medical records to drafting legal documents.
14. Problem-solve effectively, overcoming obstacles and finding innovative solutions to legal challenges.
15. Negotiate effectively, utilizing strong interpersonal and persuasion skills to secure favorable outcomes for clients.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted and in good standing with the state bar.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal injury law.
4. Proven experience in legal research, providing legal advice, and ensuring legal compliance.
5. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Experience in handling personal injury cases, including pre-litigation processes.
8. Proven track record in negotiating settlements.
9. Experience in conducting depositions.
10. Strong case management skills, with the ability to handle a large caseload effectively.
11. Trial experience, with a record of success in court.
