Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
2. Conduct client intake meetings to understand the nature of the injury and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
3. Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and prepare responses to opposing counsel’s discovery requests.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
5. Negotiate with insurance adjusters and defense attorneys to obtain the best possible settlements for clients.
6. Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, and trials.
7. Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and addressing any concerns they may have.
8. Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure that all case work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
9. Stay abreast of developments in personal injury law and participate in ongoing legal education opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a personal injury attorney, with a focus on plaintiff representation.
4. Proven track record of successful personal injury case outcomes, whether through settlement or trial.
5. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
6. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively advocate for clients.
7. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
8. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing outstanding client service.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
10. High level of integrity and professional responsibility.
