Looking for Personal Care Aides to Cover: Winchester, Front Royal Area.
Caregiver/Home Attendant/Personal Attendant duties shall include the following:
Provide companionship services and homemaker services to clients in their home.

Provide companionship services and homemaker services to clients in their home.
Provide personal care services in support of the clients’ health and safety in their homes when related to independent living of the client and cannot be done by the client himself.
The personal care services shall include:
- Assistance with the activities of daily living.
- A need for assistance exists when the client is unable to complete an activity due to cognitive impairment, functional disability, physical health problems, or safety.
- The client's functional level is based on the client's need for assistance most or all of the time to perform the tasks of daily living in order to live independently.
- Taking and recording vital signs, if specified in the plan of service.
- Recording and reporting to the supervisor any changes regarding the client's condition, behavior, or appearance; and
- Documenting the services delivered in the client's record.
Assist with household tasks necessary to the client’s health care needs including:
Planning and preparing nutritious meals, assisting in feeding client as appropriate, light housekeeping of client’s environment, including linens and making bed, laundering of client’s clothing and bedding, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, shopping, running errands, etc. Accompanying clients to appointments and other household duties are required.
Assist with personal care activities, including:

- Bath (sponge, tub, shower, and bed bath), oral hygiene, skincare, and foot care, grooming of hair (shampoo and combing), shaving and ordinary care of nails, toileting (including changing briefs), transferring (bed to chair, wheelchair and shower, etc.), dressing and undressing, ambulation, medication assistance, other personal care activities as needed.
- Uses equipment and supplies safely. Follow safety programs. Adhere to Universal Precautions.
- Assist in range of motion exercises and other procedures as instructed.
- Maintain a written log of daily activities. Document care provided daily, consistent with agency requirements. Maintain receipts of all client money used to purchase goods or materials for the client’s care.
- Reports any change in client’s condition to the Supervisor immediately.
- Perform other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED or PCA training Certificate preferred not required.
- Will provide paid training.
- Must show the ability to speak, read, write in English.
- Must follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Have a valid Driver’s license and proof of car insurance.
- Have a current negative TB test.
- Have a clear DOJ and DMV background check.
- Pass a Criminal Background check.
- Pass a Drug Test if needed.
- Ability to communicate with clients and to remain calm under stress.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients.
- Ability to perform repetitive task using hands, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to safely drive a car.
