We are seeking compassionate and committed individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants (PCA) in the greater Chapel Hill, NC area. You will play a key role in delivering quality care to adults with IDD in a group home setting. Available Shifts:
- - Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- - Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday: 2:30 PM - 9:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM on weekend day
- - Overnight: 10 PM-8 AM, 10:30 PM-8:30 AM, or 9:30 PM-9 AM
- - Part-time: Includes weekend and varying weekday shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- - Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, grooming, and medication administration.
- - Respond to medical or behavioral needs during the day program following established procedures.
- - Foster a positive and empowering atmosphere, encouraging residents to engage in social, recreational, and skill-building activities.
- - Document observations, incidents, and interventions in resident records.
- - Work collaboratively with team members, case managers, healthcare professionals, and families to provide comprehensive care.
- - Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through light housekeeping and safety checks.
Qualifications:
- - High school diploma or equivalent
- - Experience working with individuals with IDD or in a caregiving role preferred.
- - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- - Calm, patient, and compassionate demeanor in challenging situations.
- - Basic understanding of medical procedures or willingness to learn and follow protocols.
- - Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
