About the Job
The Personal Banking Assistant in the International Banking Center is responsible for providing personalized support in all phases of customer service, client relationship building, and account maintenance to Relationship Managers.
Responsibilities:Provides customer service with the handling of account opening, account documentation, account servicing/maintenance, processing customer transactions, wire transfer processing, overdrafts, return item processing, ensures all documentation is accurate and complete, and performs other general administrative support. Manages customer service inquiries and provides problem resolution efficiently and professionally. Initiates periodic contacts/checkpoints with clients to meet KYC standards and provide beneficial services. Profiles customers to ensure KYCs are updated and completed in a timely manner to comply with established BSA/AML requirements. Identifies the needs of customers to cross sells products. The Personal Banking Assistant must also comply with all established CIP and BSA/AML requirements.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Finance and one (1) to three (3) years of banking experience, or a Two-Year College Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of banking experience required, specifically related to servicing customers in new accounts, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be knowledgeable in internal bank operations (wire transfers, debits/credits and loan payments) and of banking products to cross-sell.
- Must be able to resolve problems and adjust tactics in response to changing circumstances.
- Must have the capability to prioritize, budget time and maintain work priorities.
- Must be knowledgeable on JHA Xperience applications.
- Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (English/Spanish required).
- Computer knowledgeable in MS Software, (e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Jack Henry training and knowledge of banking laws and regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act/AML and Patriot Act is preferred.
- Knowledge of the completion of KYC (Know Your Customer) is preferred.
