About the Job
You Are:
The Personnel Security Specialist will administer all aspects of personnel security programs for the national security portfolio in compliance with the NISPOM, IC, and other applicable government security directives processing Intel and SAP clearances. Routinely interact with both internal and external customers in support of program-related activities.
The Work:
- Processing SCI and SAP packages for accuracy and access eligibility.
- Regularly engage with the Program Management and Government customers
- Daily use of personnel clearance data systems to include DISS, e-APP, NBIS, and SIMS, SNOW
- Reporting, data entry, maintain a PERSEC system of record.
- Provide completion assistance to candidates.
- Request and review security documents.
- Conduct subject interviews.
- Conduct clearance verification requests.
- Transmit classified visit requests as necessary to meet customer needs.
Here's What You Need:
- Must be U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must have an active/current TS w/SCI eligibility and be willing to obtain TS/SCI with poly to be considered for this position.
- 3 years of SCI and SAP-related experience.
- Self-starter who possesses excellent administrative, detail-oriented, highly organized, oral, and written communication skills, and able to multi-task.
- Must have the ability to analyze data, highlight key findings, and communicate issues/problems with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the NISPOM and IC principles, concepts, policies, and methods of industrial security and personnel security administration and knowledge DOD and SCI personnel processing for multiple government agencies.
- Working knowledge of DISS, NBIS, e-APP/e-QIP, SWFT at a minimum.
Bonus Points if you have:
- Active TS/SCI with poly supporting a personnel security team for SAP and SCI programs.
- Demonstrated security knowledge and experience with DOD and Intelligence Community processing and SCIF operations.
- Experience building good working relationships with people at all levels.
- Excellent administrative skills with good communication, judgment, and decision-making. Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and identify solutions.
- Working knowledge of the NISPOM, DCIDS, ICDs, and Executive Orders to ensure security compliance.
- Familiarity with reviewing SF86s for accuracy and completeness.
- Member of a security membership organization such as ISWG, NCMS, and ISAC.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role:
- California: $90,700 - $170,200
- Colorado: $90,700 - $147,100
- New York: $83,900 - $170,200
- Washington State: $96,600 - $156,600
