SUMMARY
The Permit Coordinator is responsible for preparing temporary power permit submittal packages, as well as coordinating the efficient submittal, approval, and retrieval from local jurisdictions. The Permit Coordinator communicates the status of each permit and works closely with internal teams to meet branch and company goals. This position provides support to the Generator Rental Department in processing fieldwork orders, inputting contracts, pre-billing, receiving and other administrative duties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with jurisdictions and design and engineering teams to fully understand, communicate, and resolve corrections.
- Review, prepare, submit, and receive permit packages in accordance with jurisdictional requirements.
- Schedule appointments to meet customers and obtain customer signatures, final paperwork sign off and payment collection.
- Organize all completed paperwork, and process payments in a compliant, secure manner, if assigned.
- Coordinate payment and reimbursement of permit fees according to company guidelines.
- Assist with pulling permits
- Accurately enter field tickets into GensPlus (proprietary software) in a timely manner.
- Assist with putting contracts together, ensuring all billing requirements are accurately noted in system, and that any unusual billing requirements are flagged.
- Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.
COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience with construction permitting is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
- Work requires continual attention to detail in proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Hourly Pay Range: $21.00 - $23.00
