ABOUT THE POSITION
The City of Fairfield is recruiting for a Permit Center Supervisor. This position will coordinate and supervise the work of assigned staff that receive and process building permit and business license applications; to oversee the functions of the Permit Center including public counter customer service, collection and accounting of fees; and to provide information concerning requirements, codes, ordinances, and inspection procedures to contractors, design professionals, and the public.
Under general direction from the Chief Building Official or other management staff, the Permit Center Supervisor provides direct and general supervision to technical and/or administrative support staff. The Building Division is part of t he city’s Community Development Department.

This classification is represented by the Fairfield General Management Association ("FGMA") and offers an excellent benefits package, including:
