Job Title: Physical Therapist (Permanent, Part-Time)

Summary:
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading skilled nursing facility (SNF) and assisted living/independent living (AL/IL) community in Lancaster, PA, to find a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist (PT). This is a permanent, part-time (30 hours/week) opportunity for a PT to make a positive impact on the lives of residents in both settings, helping them maintain and improve their mobility, strength, and independence.

Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' and residents' physical abilities, functional limitations, and pain levels to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Personalized Treatment Plans: Develop individualized care plans tailored to each individual's specific needs and rehabilitation goals, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
- Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities, to promote functional improvement, pain reduction, and enhanced mobility.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Progress Monitoring: Continuously assess and document patient and resident progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Education and Training: Educate patients, residents, and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and adaptive techniques to promote independence and prevent further decline.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Valid state license as a Physical Therapist in Pennsylvania.
- Experience: Experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents, families, and staff.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practice in rehabilitation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule:
- Part-time: 30 hours per week.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with weekend rotation.
