About the Job
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for advertising and 2+ years of previous media buying experience. The position is full-time and hybrid (remote and regular in office requirements)
This role will be a part of the Performance Media team within the Investment & Execution department and work across several clients and campaigns. This role will be responsible for executing, stewarding, and optimizing media buys across TV and Radio media channels to ensure maximum effectiveness and impact for our clients.
What Youll Do:
Campaign Execution and Management
- Spearhead the execution of media buys across Direct Response TV and Radio
- Negotiate unit rates and ad placements to secure the most efficient and effective media plans
- Monitor weekly budget and campaign delivery by reviewing vendor pre-logs and post-logs
- Manage buys across multiple clients with different KPIs, including reach, ROAS, and efficiency
- Maintain media tracking system to ensure budget management and timely reconciliation of vendor invoices
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless activation (budgets, creative/trafficking): Communication Strategy, Account, Finance, Vendor partners etc.
Ongoing Campaign Planning
- Analyze audience ratings, unit rate trends, and marketplace landscape to inform strategy and optimizations
- Contribute to weekly buy optimization strategy development by analyzing large datasets (media spend/deliveries, client sales, etc.) to determine most effective allocation within and across networks
- Attend client meetings to develop deep understanding of client priorities/business health & performance and implications for media planning
- Supply data and supporting materials for client presentations as needed
Industry Knowledge
- Grow and develop strong vendor relationships
- Demonstrate a continuously learning mindset by actively seeking out opportunities to expand knowledge of partners, tools, measurement/attribution, etc., including participation in industry webinars/workshops, etc.
What Were Looking for
- TV Buying Expertise: 2+ years experience in media buying (direct response preferred), with an understanding of TV and radio media landscapes
- Eagle Eye for Detail: Possess a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in campaign execution, budget management, and reporting.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: Ability to anticipate, recognize, and clearly define problems and demonstrate proactive problem-solving by seeking innovative solutions, weighing alternatives, and proposing solutions.
- Data Detective: Adept at data analysis and storytelling, underpinned by the ability to communicate insights clearly and interpret performance metrics to inform strategic decisions. Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in working with large datasets
- Communication Champion: Exhibits advanced communication with strong written and verbal communication skills with internal managers and clients. Showcases ease and comfort in presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Collaboration Crusader: Confident collaboration with internal and external partners (vendors and the adept handling of business relationships (manage up/down/ laterally (e.g., ability to navigate and be effective with multiple personalities).
