As a Performance Engineer - Aftertreatment you will:
- Perform testing and simulation of engine aftertreatment components
- Field test calibration development and data analysis
- Development and ownership of the calibrations across multiple programs
This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Mechanical Engineering or similar Engineering degree required
- 1+ years minimum relevant working experience, Diesel engine knowledge.
- Familiar with engine diagnostics, calibration, and simulation treatments
- Test Cell and vehicle testing knowledge
- Experience with MATLAB and/or Simulink
- Proficiency writing MATLAB scripts and functions (1 year professional experience or 3 academic projects using MATLAB). Preferably with experience working with timeseries or recorded data (plotting, working with vectors/arrays/matrices, sorting and filtering data, statistical analysis)
- Some experience with Simulink (1 year professional experience or 1 academic project using Simulink)
- Strong technical communication/presentation skills and creativity
- Experience with vehicle On-board Diagnostics (OBD), software calibration, and Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing preferred.
- Experience with Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) preferred
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems/powertrains would be a nice to have
