JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive organizational improvement and best practices by collaborating with leaders and team members to achieve desired outcomes
- Prepare internal and external quality reports and action plans
- Perform analytical analysis and report development for the care of specific patient populations
- Investigate and reconcile quality and performance related clinical quality requests
- Ensures organizational knowledge of the accreditation and regulatory standards and associated interpretative guidelines
- Engages organizational team members and transfers knowledge of current standards
- Assist the Performance Improvement Director in the management, implementation, and evaluation of quality and regulatory compliance initiatives
- Creates a culture of Quality and Performance Improvement that contributes to safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable patient-centered care
- Maintains current regulations and standards of practice
- Engages in activities aimed at increasing and improving the overall organizational awareness, education, and compliance to quality
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Must have knowledge and understanding of clinical pathways, guidelines, best practices, and evidence-based standards of patient care
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required
- Must possess the ability to concisely summarize findings, develop action plans, be self-motivated and work well independently
- Ability to work in a continually changing environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements, data collection techniques, performance improvement methods and tools (e.g., Rapid Cycle PDCA), preferred.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Nurse or another clinical professional, BSN, or BA required
- 3–5 years’ experience in the provision of clinical care
- Basic understanding of statistical methodology, research methods, and information systems required
- Master’s degree, preferred
- Previous experience in Quality Improvement or regulatory compliance, preferred
