Position Summary:

The staffing clerk coordinates staffing throughout the nursing departments.  She works with the nursing directors to help meet staffing needs utilizing our own staff and contracted staff.

Required Qualifications:

• 1 year experience as a Staffing Coordinator in an acute care environment

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with the following packages :Kronos, OptiLink  ProSource. 
• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Physical Requirements: Majority of position requires sitting – approximately 75% in performing clerical functions.  Standing and walking approximately 25%; Must be able to lift approximately 25 pounds; Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities; Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; Must be free from signs of illness and infection.
