Per Diem Occupational Therapist Needed in Stuart - Allegiance Home Health and Rehab

If so, come join our team of professional Occupational Therapists. We are a Medicare Certified Home Health Agency looking for OTs with home health experience to provide services for our patients in their homes. With offices in Stuart, Boca Raton, and Deerfield, we serve patients in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and Indian River Counties. We especially need OTs who work in Palm Beach County (Boynton to West Palm Beach). 

The ideal candidate has a valid OT license, current certification in CPR, and experience working in home health. In addition, candidates must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, a recent physical, and be able to pass a level II background check. Our OTs are paid per-diem for evaluations and visits and can choose to be actual employees of our company or independent contractors. For employees of our company, we carry workers’ compensation and liability insurance and we withhold taxes, which we send to the IRS.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of the client's needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments
• Guides and instructs the client in prescribed therapeutic self-care and creative activities that are directed toward improving independence and physical and mental functioning
• Provides skilled Occupational Therapy service on an intermittent basis to clients in their homes in accordance with the physician's orders
• Evaluates the effectiveness of occupational therapy intervention and updates the client care plan as needed
• Ensures that required documentation is complete in a timely manner and is in compliance with regulations and standards

Qualifications

• COMPASSION and a DESIRE TO HELP our clients achieve a better quality of life
• Valid OT license
• Experience in home healthcare required
• Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
• Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance
• Current CPR card
• Level 2 background check required
• Health Statement done within the last year (PPD results within 6 months)
