The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 West Palm Beach Area obtains new prescriptions and prescription refill information. The Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.
The Per Diem/VSP Pharmacy Technician 2 (West Palm Beach Area) retrieves, counts, and measures drugs. Assists Pharmacist in price-checking and restocking of drugs. Accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer. Refers physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. May operate a cash register. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications
+ Must have an active Florida Pharmacy Technician license
+ Must be active or be able to become certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
+ This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/CenterWell's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
+ Ability to travel to CenterWell Pharmacy Centers (formerly known as Humana Pharmacy) within the West Palm Beach area (including Boca, Deerfield, Plantation)

+ PTCB-Certified
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Immunizations-Certified
+ BLS/CPR Certified
+ Creole and/or Spanish-speaking

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$37,200 - $51,200 per year
