In this key role, you will play a vital part in advancing our mission by supporting the People team's daily operations and driving initiatives that enhance the employee experience. Your responsibilities will include processing and entering payroll with precision, ensuring accurate and thorough data management and compliance within the Company's HRIS, and serving as the primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns.
Additionally, you will contribute to strategic People team initiatives aimed at fostering an engaged, empowered, and high-performing workforce. Through your attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and commitment to excellence, you will help build a strong foundation for our employees to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Process and Administer Payroll: Handle all aspects of payroll, including time and labor management, deductions, garnishments, and compliance.
- Payroll Best Practices: Continuously improve payroll processes in partnership with team leaders.
- HRIS Support: Assist with HRIS upgrades, updates, audits, and resolve payroll-related inquiries.
- Recruitment and Hiring: Conduct low-volume recruiting, interviewing, and hiring, and manage new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Compliance: Perform background checks and ensure hiring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- People Team Programs: Administer programs like the Company recognition program, benefits and leave support, and support performance management process.
- Project Support: Support and maintain project planning and tracking for People team initiatives.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in HR, Payroll and Recruiting.
- Demonstrated proficiency with payroll software and systems (e.g., Paylocity, ADP, Workday, Paycom).
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements related to payroll and HR related matters.
- Understanding of recruiting best practices and demonstrated experience with staffing, recruiting functions and onboarding.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information to employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate ability to be an agile learner with our systems and processes and an ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time.

EDUCATION AND PREFERRED TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, a related field or 5 years of relevant experience.
Compensation details: 75000-90000 Yearly Salary
