Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
1. Testing Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy and plan for PEGA projects.
o Define scope, objectives, approach, resources, and schedule for testing.
o Ensure alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
2. Team Management:
o Lead and manage a team of testers, ensuring appropriate workload distribution and skill development.
o Coordinate between onshore and offshore testing teams.
o Mentor and guide team members in PEGA-specific testing techniques and tools.
3. Test Design and Execution:
o Oversee the creation and maintenance of test cases, test scripts, and test data.
o Ensure all functional and non-functional requirements are covered through various test types (Unit Testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, Regression Testing, etc.).
o Ensure appropriate levels of testing for integration points with other systems or applications.
4. PEGA-Specific Testing:
o Work closely with PEGA developers and architects to understand PEGA components (Workflows, Case Management, Rules, etc.) and tailor test strategies.
o Utilize PEGA testing tools like PEGA Unit Testing, Scenario Testing, and Automated Testing.
5. Automation and Tools:
o Identify opportunities for test automation, particularly for regression and repetitive tasks.
o Work with automation engineers to design and implement automated test scripts for PEGA applications.
o Utilize tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or PEGA-specific testing tools (like Pega Unit).
6. Defect Management:
o Track, report, and manage defects through the defect lifecycle.
o Collaborate with development teams to prioritize, resolve, and retest defects.
o Ensure a high standard of defect resolution with minimal leakage into production.
7. Stakeholder Communication:
o Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding test progress, risks, and issues.
o Prepare test status reports, summary reports, and final sign-off documents.
o Liaise with business analysts and end-users to clarify testing requirements and ensure test scenarios align with business needs.
8. Quality Assurance Governance:
o Define and enforce quality assurance standards, methodologies, and best practices within the team.
o Ensure that all testing activities comply with organizational standards and industry best practices.
o Conduct regular test reviews and audits
