Position Summary:
Peer Recovery Program Supervisor is a Bachelors or Masters prepared Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Supervisor (LADC-S), and is responsible for the mentorship and supervision for our Peer Supervisors and Peer Recovery Specialists, conducting quality review audits, and coordinating peer supervision teams.
This role involves quality assurance monitoring, chart auditing and quality improvement plans, for the peer team. This role conducts comprehensive audits (Risk Report and Scheduled Interval Audits) and oversees the implementation of improvement plans and coaching on best practice reminders. The Peer Recovery Program Supervisor also collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, individualized supervision for the peer supervisory teams.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time role that may be completed in a hybrid environment once trained. Hours are standard business hours and will vary depending on the peer supervisor’s needs but are generally expected to be standard business hours of 8am-5pm. In-person meetings with leadership staff are required; monthly and on an as-needed basis.

- Conduct comprehensive audits of the Peer Supervisor’s notes and their peer team’s notes.
- Coordinate Peer Supervision Program, ensuring adherence to compliant, evidence-based practices in accordance with Minnesota DHS regulatory standards and quality parameters.
- Develop individualized Supervision goals in 1:1 and group settings, in collaboration with peer supervisors and peers.
- Hold weekly office hours and scheduled meetings with Peer Recovery Specialists and Peer Supervisors
- Provide coaching and motivational interventions to peer supervisor teams, individuals and groups, supporting their recovery goals, barriers and recovery capital growth.
- Monitor and evaluate Peer Supervisor’s and Peer’s progress, adjusting coaching interventions as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including quality-assurance specialists, operations team, clinicians, therapists, and other professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic peer supervision and growth within the peer supervisor teams.
- Stay current with advancements in the field of Peer Recovery Specialists, substance use disorder treatment, participating in professional development activities and continuing education opportunities.
- Conduct outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about substance use disorders and available treatment options within the community.
- Serve as a resource for Peer Supervisors, Peers, team members.
- Program Coordination including support of our Peer Program’s hiring of new Supervisors, training and ongoing mentoring for the team.
- Lead Weekly supervision, as needed for compliance and quality.
- Lead monthly Peer Supervisor meetings, in office, with the support of the Quality Team.
- Quality reviews, chart auditing and ongoing monitoring of the Peer Supervisor Team’s supervision.
- Coordination with the Product team on the roadmap for peer supervision within our Kyros Platform.
- Mentorship to Peer Program Managers and other coordinators in our market expansion states.
- Stay current regarding professional research, techniques, etc.
- Complete continuing education courses in current treatment concepts and methods as required by the State of Minnesota to maintain Alcohol and Drug Counselor (Supervisor) license.
- Attend in-house training and staff meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by clinical management.

Required Education, Experience & Other Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or Supervisor (LADC-S) in accordance with state regulations, verifying you meet both educational background, supervised experience as well as examination prerequisites.
- Possession and maintenance of a current, valid Driver's License with reliable transportation to work onsite the MN based SUD Program for the standard work hours as described above.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree prepared candidates
- Proven experience conducting substance use disorder assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches and interventions for substance use disorders.
- Excellent counseling and therapeutic skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build a therapeutic alliance with clients.
- Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in substance use disorder treatment and the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional guidelines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software applications.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on best practices in the field.
- Research and quality assurance experience
- Effective and/or advanced use of software applications including Google Suite, MS Office including Excel, Electronic Health Records, Slack, etc.
