As a Pediatrician at our Children's Health Center, you will work in a clinical setting provide top quality care to our diverse young patient base. We are seeking someone who is passionate about caring for children and treating their medical needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide direct medical services
- Provide assistance to mid-level providers as they care for clinic patients.
- Provide assistance in establishment, review and revision of CCC Medical Department protocols, policies and procedures.
- Maintains the standards of patient care and implements the policies and procedures of the Medical Department.
- Evaluate abnormal laboratory studies, X-rays and other tests and prescribe treatment as necessary.
- Evaluate patients with complex problems and refer to appropriate specialists if problem cannot be treated in-house.
- Work in conjunction with other Medical Clinic personnel in providing ongoing health education and information on preventative medicine.
- Assist Clinical staff in quality assurance and peer review.
- Responsible for obtaining necessary continuing medical education credits.
- Responsible for keeping medical license, DEA registration, and CPR certification current.
- Responsible for communicating problems identified involving personnel, medical staff, patients, families and the general public to the Clinic Manager.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining professional relationship with ancillary medical, laboratory and pharmaceutical services within the community.

Required Experience:
- Licensed California Physician - Board Certified in Pediatrics preferred.
- Prior experience in a pediatric practice or clinic required
- Two (2) years clinical experience in direct delivery of primary care. Residency experience may be considered.
- Current DEA registration.
- Current CPR certification.
- Sensitive to Native American culture and health needs.
- Current California Driver’s License and proof of personal liability automobile insurance as required by California state law.
