Requirements
- Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Practitioner (PMHNP).
- Pediatric experience
Qualified candidates must have the ability to be self-directed and flexible as a team member. The ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team and adapt to a rapidly changing clinical environment are critical. Strong communication skills with team members are essential.
Psychiatry APPs will:
- Have a full panel of patients with psychiatric needs ages 6-21 years of age in an outpatient setting completing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, developing and executing ongoing treatment plans, including medication management and coordinating care with relevant disciplines and services.
- Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Participate in educational functions of the department (e.g. didactic teaching, precepting trainees, consultation with primary care)
- Participate in relevant enterprise-wide initiatives and committees.
- Assist with coverage of Consult Liaison Service primarily through at-home call weeknights and weekends and, when needed, daytime service as instructed by department leadership. Weeknight and weekend call is compensated separately.
