NORTON CHILDRENS ADVANCED EYE CARE, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children's Medical Group, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric ophthalmologist. The selected candidate will function as part of a dynamic, growing team dedicated to meeting the needs of children through clinical care, medical education, research and advocacy. Norton Children's Advanced Eye Care currently offers care for strabismus, pediatric cataracts, pediatric glaucoma and pediatric oculoplastics, as well as retinopathy of prematurity, with the latest technology and surgical techniques.
The selected candidate will be a part of the UofL School of Medicines growing and vibrant pediatric ophthalmology program, promoting innovation and passion for the care of children with eye issues. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to mentor and teach residents and technicians, and to participate in multiple research opportunities, or to expand research, if desired.

About the UofL School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences within the UofL School of Medicine is located in its own free-standing complex, a 68,000-square-foot facility called the Kentucky Lions Eye Center in the heart of the Health Sciences Campus in downtown Louisville. The department has 12 clinical faculty members with the full spectrum of subspecialty divisions, from pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, to retina and uveitis, glaucoma, corneal and external disease, refractive surgery, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, comprehensive ophthalmology and well eye care, contact lens and specialized optometry, including sports vision. The departments clinical services extend to Central and Western Kentucky as well as Southern Indiana. The department has four research faculty members and scientists with grants from the National Institutes of Health, Research to Prevent Blindness and Department of Defense, as well as collaborative projects with other major research and academic institutions. The department has 12 residents, two fellows and multiple postdoctoral students, as well as a nationally acclaimed educational program that includes the Harry C. Stephenson Visiting Professor Lecture Series.
About the Novak Center for Childrens Health
The Novak Center for Childrens Health is an eight-story, 176,000-square-foot facility located in downtown Louisville, a few blocks from Norton Childrens Hospital. The outpatient center provides families in the region with access to primary care and more than 20 pediatric specialties, including Norton Childrens Cancer Institute, Norton Childrens Heart Institute and Norton Childrens Neuroscience Institute, all affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Its also home to Wendy Novak Diabetes Institute, part of Norton Childrens Endocrinology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine.
