OT Studios is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. As a Pediatric OT, you will play a crucial role in promoting the development, independence, and well-being of children facing various physical, cognitive, and sensory challenges. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of one year of experience working with the pediatric population, who possesses a deep understanding of child development and a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the developmental needs and functional abilities of pediatric clients
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, goals, and client/family preferences.
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to promote skill development, improve sensory processing, enhance fine motor skills, and foster independence in daily activities.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to therapy and consistent progress towards treatment goals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Educate and guide parents/caregivers on therapeutic techniques and activities to facilitate skill development and carryover of therapy goals at home and in the community.
- Stay current with the latest research, advancements, and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy through ongoing professional development activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with pediatric clients in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development, sensory integration, and evidence-based pediatric therapy interventions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ability to create a positive and supportive therapeutic environment for children and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse needs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize caseload and meet documentation requirements.
