Ultimate Staffing is hiring for a Pediatric Medical Assistant in Baltimore, Maryland! This is a full time, in-person, temp to hire position. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and office staff to ensure the efficient flow of patients while providing excellent care and support to pediatric patients and their families. Key Responsibilities
- Escort patients from the waiting area to exam rooms and obtain vitals, including head circumference, heigh, weight, blood pressure and pulse oximetry.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures such as EKGs, urinalysis, in-office lab tests, PKU, bilirubin and immunizations.
- Communicate with the physician about schedule changes and patient readiness.
- Restock exam rooms with supplies and notify the Office Manager when inventory runs low.
- Make follow-up calls to patients as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or provider.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively, think critically, and problem-solve
- At least several years of recent experience working in Pediatrics or healthcare environments.
- Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft office
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy
- Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information
Compensation and Hours
- This is an hourly position paying about $20-21hr depending on Pediatric experience.
- Hours for this position are 8am to 6pm, 40hr work week with a weekday off and 1 Saturday AM rotation every 3 weeks.
- This is an in-person, full time position in Baltimore.
