PCB Design Engineer - Albin Engineering Services, Inc.

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. ( www.aesi.com ) is looking for two PCB Design Engineers, doing some firmware too, for a premier client, one in each location, in the Fremont, CA and Southern Oregon areas. As their employee, you qualify for their full benefit package.

Responsibilities:

• Embedded hardware experience, working with PCBs, troubleshooting and design

• Collaborate with multi-discipline engineering teams to design and develop new boards and/or products would be a major plus!

• Ability to read, understand, and modify board schematics and system diagrams

• Conduct fabrication and testing of prototype systems, and documents design modifications
• Board bring-up with initial test firmware ideally to test all circuits
• Design and develop with micro controllers and ARM processors
• Working in an R&D and new product development environment

Requirements:

• BS in Engineering or Computer Science and 2-5-10+ years of experience in a related field; or equivalent

• Experience with Microchip micro controllers and ARM processors

• Outstanding problem-solving resolution and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding work ethic, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must have a great "can do attitude
• Takes initiative and works well independently

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Design, develop, build, and test high quality embedded code would be a major plus!

• Strong knowledge of C/C++ in embedded application and other object-oriented language(s)
• Experience using version control tools such as Git

• Web development and/or web development in embedded systems.
• Embedded Linux
• Experience with digital sensors
• Experience with motor control
