Description
PC imaging technician for a project through the end of the year to replace 300 old PC's and to assist with standard PC tickets between tasks. This contract could be extended beyond the end of the year to deploy 1,000 machines within W11 for 2025, which will turn into a contract to hire.
Ability to travel is a must as this tech will be supporting multiple sites. Travel expenses will be covered. Could travel as far as Atlanta, Georgia.
***WILL NEED STEEL TOE BOOTS FOR THE MANUFACTURING FLOORS***
This role will be responsible for creating an image through PXE and setting up this imaging through the new DELL hardware bought by corporate.
Summary: Supports desktops/laptops, servers, network infrastructure and provides hardware/software support to end users by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Designs, specifies, configures, installs, and maintains network hardware, software, and telecommunications services such as personal computers, system software, software applications, printers, servers, switches, cabling, and Internet service providers.
• Follows policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, license, use, support, security, and backup as outlined by Director of Information Technology; Consults with department managers to implement system solutions consistent with organizational objectives.
• Creates new user accounts and provides ongoing maintenance for network users, user environment, directories, and security.
• Responds to the needs and questions of network users concerning their access to resources on the network and the operation of various software programs; provides training to end users on software and equipment usage; responds to resolve help desk issues.
• Communicates standards for use, operations, and security of network, personal computers, and data. Communicates with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems.
• Installs and tests software upgrades; collects and analyzes network and memory utilization; and develops and implements disaster recovery procedures.
• Manages data backup hardware/software and media retention, consistent with corporate procedure. Ensures that data backups are running successfully in the environment.
• Researches and evaluates new technologies. May participate in contract negotiations or coordinate activities with hardware, software and telecommunications vendors.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $20.00
