Payroll Tax Analyst - The Fountain Group

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Payroll Tax Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with ADP to address exceptions within Smart Compliance, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local income tax regulations. Your responsibilities will encompass resolving discrepancies, coordinating with tax agencies, and facilitating payroll reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements.

Job Description:

• Pay is $35- $43 per hour based on experience.
• 12- month assignment with the potential to convert to a permanent employee based on performance (Bachelor’s required for conversion).
• Fully remote role supporting office in Tampa, FL.
• Collaborate with ADP to identify and resolve exceptions within Smart Compliance.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local income tax regulations.
• Liaise with tax agencies to address inquiries and resolve compliance issues.
• Conduct thorough payroll reconciliations to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• Analyze payroll data to identify trends and potential areas for process improvement.
• Stay updated on changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Provide support to internal stakeholders regarding payroll compliance matters.
• Document processes and procedures to maintain compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree not required but would be required if it turned into a perm opportunity.
• Must have analytical skills.
• Must have Tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of US/PR income taxes.
• Work experience with ADP Smart Compliance.
• Knowledge of W2 and W2c processes.
