We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to play a pivotal role in our company. The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations. This position will also be involved in various HR-related tasks, providing an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to expand their skillset and grow within our company.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the entire payroll process for our manufacturing workforce, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages.
- Ensure compliance with all payroll tax regulations and HR laws, staying up-to-date with changes and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Use Kronos payroll software to process payroll, manage timekeeping, and generate reports.
- Supervise and mentor payroll staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Liaise with HR and Finance departments to resolve any payroll discrepancies and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Manage year-end payroll tasks, including the preparation and distribution of W-2 forms.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a payroll supervisory role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is required.
- Proficiency in using Kronos payroll software.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll tax regulations and HR laws.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to supervise and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll information to non-financial staff.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
