About the Job
We currently have an opening for a highly driven Payroll Specialist to join our office team. To be successful in this role, you will have a strong ability to prioritize tasks and have exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Weekly payroll processing
Weekly taxes and child support payments
Weekly 401K processing
Quarterly payroll taxes
Annual payroll documents
Monthly union payroll reports
Verification of employment
Setup new employees in ERP & HR programs
New hire onboarding
Benefits administration including 401k and insurance
Requirements for a successful candidate:
Minimum of 2 to 5 years payroll experience
Strong MS Office software proficiency and typing skills
Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
Ability to complete projects quickly and accurately when under deadlines
Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
A positive, courteous, and helpful demeanor
Ability to maintain privacy on sensitive issues
Desire to work in a team environment to a common goal
Human resources experience is a plus
Mechanical industry experience is a plus
Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) software experience is a plus
