Payroll Specialist - Arrow Staffing

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state, semi-monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key tasks include handling adjustments, audits, and new hire processing, while supporting employee inquiries. Ideal candidates have at least one year of high-volume payroll experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and strong organizational skills. • Schedule: M- F: 8:00a -5:00p

• Fully onsite

• Pay Range: $25-$27

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly multi-state payroll by following policies and procedures, make recommendations for process improvement

• Enter garnishments, timesheet adjustments, and other one-time changes to payroll

• Resolve payroll discrepancies

• Perform audits to ensure accuracy of payroll

• Process new hires and separations

• Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests

• Maintain confidential payroll information

• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

Requirements

• Be a self-starter who is able to use sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Access

• 1+ years of high-volume payroll experience, preferably with a top tier HCM payroll system

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to be responsible for more than one task at a time

• Strong customer service skills, team oriented, flexible, and have the ability to work with strict deadlines

• High school diploma
