Payroll Specialist - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for law firm employees using ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
• Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
• Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with the HR and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
• Generate and review payroll reports for management.
• Assist in year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and annual audits.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or education is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in the legal field or a professional services environment.
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and wage calculations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
• Effective communication skills to interact with employees and team members.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Familiarity with legal industry payroll practices is advantageous.
