We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for law firm employees using ADP Workforce Now.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and compensation changes.
- Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with the HR and finance departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Address and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll in a timely and professional manner.
- Generate and review payroll reports for management.
- Assist in year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and annual audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or education is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in the legal field or a professional services environment.
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll software.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and wage calculations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Effective communication skills to interact with employees and team members.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Familiarity with legal industry payroll practices is advantageous.
