Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Payroll Specialist, your day-to-day tasks will involve a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to:
1. Processing and managing payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Utilizing your 10-key skills to enter payroll data quickly and accurately.
3. Auditing payroll records and reports for correctness and making any necessary adjustments.
4. Issuing paychecks and managing direct deposits for employees.
5. Maintaining employee personnel files, ensuring they are up to date and comply with privacy laws.
6. Providing expert consulting services to clients on payroll-related matters, including tax regulations, payroll processes, and best practices.
7. Identifying and implementing improvements to payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
8. Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee inquiries about payroll matters in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Payroll Specialist position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in payroll, data entry, and auditing.
2. Proficiency in 10-key data entry.
3. Strong knowledge of payroll processes, including issuing paychecks and maintaining employee personnel files.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
5. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise advice on payroll-related matters.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
8. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to payroll and employee data.
9. Experience with payroll software and systems is preferred.
