Responsibilities
- Conducts New Hire orientation.
- Sets up training process for all new hires and ensure completion.
- Compile payroll data such as hours worked; sales volume, bonuses, and commissions; employee contributions to insurance and retirement plans; etc., from time sheets and other records to complete the payroll cycle and issue paychecks.
- Monitor timecards for discrepancies & enter correcting payroll data into system.
- Responsible for compliance of HR related matters (e.g., I9s) and systems support regarding all applicable laws and regulations (including but not limited to: HIPAA, FMLA)
- Provide mentorship to associates to ensure compliance with all FMLA requirements.
- Update master payroll records by verifying and recording changes affecting net wages such as tax exemptions, insurance coverage, compensation increases, promotions, and/or employee transfers.
- Submit and balance 401K payments, process loans and assist with yearly audit.
- Handle Unemployment claims.
- Prepare periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions & file all hiring and termination paperwork.
- Maintain records for vacations and sick-day eligibility, leave pay and nontaxable wages.
- Process all employee insurance forms and payments in coordination with office manager.
- Weekly Accounts Payable and Receivable Reconciliation duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- $21.00 - $24.00+ per hour depending on experience
- Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Reynolds & Reynolds software system experience preferred but not required.
- Detail oriented with strong organization and documentation skills.
- Interpret Employment Law (Federal and State) and general HR policies.
- Ability to collect, compile and analyze information and data.
- Ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization both in person and through written correspondence and presentations.
- Clean and valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Computer-literate and ability to learn Company software.
- Understands employee payroll issues, confidentiality, and communicates solutions effectively, expertly, and patiently.
