Payroll Specialist
We’re hiring a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations for a workforce that includes both union and non-union employees. This role ensures timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with labor agreements, and adherence to payroll regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has experience handling complex payroll systems in a dynamic work environment.
Compensation: $60,000-$71,000/year, with potential performance bonuses.
Location: Farmington, CT (On-site with flexibility after initial training).

Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for union and non-union employees.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, benefits, and adjustments.
- Calculate and process wages, overtime, and deductions, adhering to federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Handle reporting and payment of union dues, contributions, and fringe benefits as required by agreements.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare periodic payroll reports for management.
- Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to manage employee records and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Stay updated on labor laws, union agreements, and tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Preferred Qualifications for the Payroll Specialist:
- 3+ years of payroll experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax filings, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with payroll-related reporting requirements, including union benefits and dues.
