About this Role:
The AR/Billing Specialist will be responsible for billing/invoicing for our clients timely, efficiently, and
accurately. Which also includes AR to collect on invoices by the net terms. Will partner with the
Sales Team to understand customer requirements, work hand in hand with our collections team to
ensure Insight Global is receiving payment from IG’s invoices. Ensure that issues are resolved to
timely to prevent future disputes in billing. Will own a portfolio of accounts to support and build
positive professional relationships, with both clients and internal partners.
Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist
What You’ll Do:
•Responsible for accurately onboarding billing profile and gathering specific documentation for
every new contractor that goes onsite.
•Sending invoices on time and accurately per customer requirements.
•Send Statements on open invoices for all accts to support the AR.
•Call and collect on open invoices to ensure payment is received by net terms.
•Develop standard operating procedures for new customer setups.
•Manage workload to meet internal and external deadlines.
•Researching / Reconciling account issues
•Providing detailed updates on unbilled accounts and unpaid invoices
•Familiar with Portal Entry for invoicing
•Perform other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Typically Required:
•Minimum 3-5 Years of specialty or boutique billing (or similar position)
•Must be fluent in excel at an intermediate to advance level.
•Proven experience managing customer AP Portals (Ariba, OB10, etc.)
•Proven experience resolving PO spend issues, pricing errors, and other billing errors.
•Working autonomously as well as in a team
•A strong curiosity to challenge processes and improve them.
•Proven ability to resolve difficult customer situations.
•Strong communication and customer service skills
Typically Preferred:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration. Will
consider previous experience in a customer service/account resolution environment.
Other Skills and Abilities:
•Ability to effectively communicate with all levels or management, employees, and customers.
•Strong analytical skills.
•PC knowledge and experience are required along with financial aptitude.
•Possesses excellent customer service telephone skills and email etiquette.
•Exceptional teamwork skills required.
•Possesses ability to effectively handle challenging customer situations.
•Must possess skills using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
