OVERVIEW
A fast-growing global software development company is currently seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a large payroll team in a high-volume payroll environment while providing flexibility and growth potential.
- Location: Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid - Minimum 2 days in office)
- Position Type: Contract (Full-time and part-time positions available)
- Reports to: Payroll Manager
- Start Date: March / April 2024– work 6-month contract, with potential opportunity to extend
Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle payroll processing for W2 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Process payroll for approximately 3500 employees in an accurate and timely manner.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data, including but not limited to hours worked, time off, bonuses, and deductions.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to state and federal laws.
- Assist with special payroll projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ADP, and other relevant software applications.
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle payroll processing for W2 employees, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Adaptability to new technologies and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
- Open-minded approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus but not required.
