Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Driver Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll for our team of professional drivers. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely compensation in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. This role involves working closely with drivers, managers, and the accounting team to address payroll-related issues, maintain records, and ensure overall satisfaction.

Job Duties:
Payroll Processing:
- Calculate, prepare, and process weekly payroll for drivers, including hourly, mileage-based, or commission-based pay structures.
- Verify time logs, trip sheets, and other documentation submitted by drivers to ensure accuracy.
- Handle deductions, bonuses, and reimbursements in accordance with company policies.
Compliance & Accuracy:
- Ensure payroll complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including tax filings, wage garnishments, and overtime rules.
Record Management:
- Maintain accurate payroll records, including driver pay history, tax forms, and other required documentation.
- Update driver profiles with changes to pay rates, tax information, or other relevant details.
Communication:
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries from drivers and management promptly.
- Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to validate trip data for accurate compensation.
- Educate drivers on payroll processes, deductions, and company policies.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience working in a professional business or customer service environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with drivers and team members.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Experience in payroll processing, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry a plus.
- Familiarity with driver-specific payroll components, such as per diem, mileage reimbursements, and fuel surcharges a plus.
