Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will prepare payroll for our retail stores and support the Payroll Processor in data input. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of payroll processes and be adept at working collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepared and processed payroll for various retail stores accurately and on time.
- Assist the Payroll Processor with data entry and input to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Process garnishments, child support, and travel expenses in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Address payroll inquiries from team members and provide assistance as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the payroll department.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience; experience in payroll processing is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of payroll concepts, including income tax withholding and time and attendance policies.
- Strong 10-key skills, with the ability to type by touch.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
