We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Payroll Processor to join our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Payroll Processor, you will play a crucial role in managing our company's payroll operations. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Processing weekly payroll for about 500-600 employees in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
2. Managing and maintaining our payroll system,, ensuring all data is up-to-date and accurate.
3. Preparing and submitting reports on payroll activities to senior management.
4. Resolving payroll-related queries and issues, providing excellent customer service to our employees.
5. Working closely with the Benefits team to manage employee benefits and deductions.
6. Ensuring compliance with union agreements and construction industry regulations.
7. Conducting regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
8. Staying up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, implementing changes as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in the construction industry.
2. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve payroll-related issues quickly and effectively.
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex payroll issues clearly and concisely.
5. A strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
6. The ability to manage high-volume payroll tasks effectively and efficiently.
7. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
